North Woods
The North Maine Woods is the least densely populated region in the eastern United States. These sprawling forests are harvested by some, visited by few and forgotten by many. Far down a rough series of timber roads the Scanlin family operates a small hunting and recreation camp and are one of the only year round residents of a land that is neither frontier nor wilderness.
